A SHAQ-sized Weekend of Events
It was a monumental weekend for basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal, who took center stage at his eponymous events from Las Vegas to Los Angeles.
The Event
On October 1, The Shaquille O’Neal Foundation hosted its second annual fundraising gala, The Event, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. As the primary fundraiser for his foundation, the gala raised $3.15 million for the non-profit organizations Boys & Girls Clubs and Communities in Schools. The evening also featured a star-studded lineup of entertainment, including Maroon 5, Maren Morris, Pitbull and H.E.R.
Shaqtoberfest
The following day, the Hall of Famer headed to the historic Queen Mary in Long Beach, where Shaqtoberfest kicked off Halloween month at one of Los Angeles’ most haunted landmarks. In partnership with ABG Entertainment and Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group, O’Neal’s first-ever Halloween-themed event welcomed fans and friends to an interactive experience complete with family-friendly trick-or-treating, ghoulish games, frightfully fun haunted trails and exciting live entertainment.
